Art Supplies for Children
Survivors of the Earthquake
in Haiti
La Vallee de Jacmel, Haiti
The earthquake that struck Haiti in January, 2010 has brought unimaginable suffering to people of Haiti. Despite the desperate conditions facing the survivors, who live in the poorest country in the western hemisphere, the Haitian people bring resiliency and vision to bring to their recovery.
Beginning in June, 2010, Art in a Box is partnering with Haitian doctors and local community workers to bring art supplies to children on the ground in La Vallee de Jacmel, Haiti, located in the epicenter of the earthquake. Our goal is to help the children recover through art—mentally, physically and spiritually—and to support both the immediate and the longer-term needs of the local communities to help their children.
Your support empowers children at risk!
