Inspired by Cambodia’s renowned textile traditions and the universal appeal of dolls, young women in Art in a Box’s Paper Doll Fashion Art Program-Cambodia participated in a Peer-to Peer Mentoring project. Young women from the CWCC
shelter in Phnom Penh conducted training workshops for the Paper Doll Fashion
Art Project at the CWCC shelter in Siem Reap, Cambodia. The older girls who
conducted the mentoring gained leadership and teaching skills and the younger
girls were inspired by young women mentors from within their own culture. The
project was produced in partnership between Art in a Box and the Cambodian
Women’s Crisis Center (CWCC).
