The Cambodian Jewelry Program helps trafficked young women and survivors of gender-based violence to earn income so they can take care of their families and build new lives that are free from fear and violence. The women, who live at the Cambodian Women’s Crisis Center’s shelter, work cooperatively to create handmade necklaces from beautiful Cambodian silk. Art in a Box provides design training and resources for trafficked girls so they can gain skills for careers as young designers. The program is being produced in partnership with the Cambodian Women’s Crisis Center.
Silk wrapped necklaces made by trafficked girls and women at risk.
Visit the Art in a Box Shop to view and purchase silk necklaces.
Our coregroup of young designers at the Cambodian Women’s Crisis Center creates new jewelry designs.
The designs feature pendants with traditional Khmer motifs.
We appreciate your support.
