The Cambodian Jewelry Program
Income Generation for Girls and Women at Risk
Phnom Penh, Cambodia
Art in a Box has initiated the Cambodian Jewelry Program to help trafficked girls, village girls at risk of being trafficked and village mothers who are part of a trafficking prevention initiative to earn their own income by creating beautiful, handmade, silk-wrapped necklaces. The necklaces are created from four kinds of locally produced Cambodian silk—fine silk, raw silk, traditional patterned silk and organza. The girls regain their self esteem and the village mothers can support their families and send their daughters to school. Conducted in partnership with the Cambodian Women’s Crisis Center.
By improving the lives of girls and women,
we strengthen communities!

Please join us in helping the girls and women at risk to help themselves by purchasing these beautiful silk-wrapped necklaces.
